On April 19, 2023, cities across Oklahoma were hit by a series of severe storms that brought strong winds, lightning strikes, and large hail. The impacted cities included Yukon, Edmond, Noble, Midwest City, and many others.
The hail storm was so intense that it prompted the National Weather Service to issue a tornado warning for the affected areas. The storms caused significant damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure throughout the region.
The hailstones that fell during the storm were particularly large, with some reportedly measuring up to 3 inches in diameter. This size of hail can cause significant damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
In addition to the hail, the storms also brought high winds that exceeded 70 miles per hour. These strong winds knocked down trees and power lines, causing widespread power outages throughout the impacted areas.
